Paul Cashin Architects: Planning Permission Granted for Steam Town Brew Co., Eastleigh, Hampshire
Planning permission has been secured for our Craft Beer Brewery in Eastleigh. The conversion of the existing cafe on the corner of Bishopstoke Road and Dutton Lane has been granted licence and change of use permission for a brewery and tap room.
We are now working with the clients to produce internal refurbishment details which will focus on the brewing process of craft/local beers. The interior spaces will make references to the history of industry in Eastleigh, a railway town with an industrious past which includes the Spitfire aircraft and train sidings. We propose to create furniture and fixtures from up-cycled materials once used in the industries linked to the town.
Work is set to begin this summer with a proposed opening in Autumn, and the brewery itself beginning production for the Christmas period.
